In the United States, indictments are matters of public record. To formally charge someone with a felony, or indict that person, a grand jury must return a true bill.
Indictments are filed with the district clerk for the county where the offense occurred. In this case, the Abraaj case is being conducted in the Southern District Court of New York.

Two of our favorite parts
Page 40 – Vettivetpillai and Abdel-wadood believing that if investors had any suspicions about Arif Naqvi and overvaluations of the funds, their involvement would help add credibility to valuations.
Page 46 – Naqvi insisting that the US regulator wouldn’t get involved until the Dubai regulator had completed its work, which he assumed would be favorable to Abraaj executives as they wouldn’t want to “damage” the reputation of the jurisdiction.
